Position Summary:
Works with Medical Interactive product team for the MI website and learning management system.  This includes programming/development, sales and content development to build and deliver innovative Risk Management e-learning resources and tools for the healthcare industry. Owns products throughout their life cycle from concept to ongoing support and future releases. Evaluates product ideas and collaborates with MI VP of Operations to develop overall product strategy and determine which product ideas should be pursued.  Develops and implements a comprehensive marketing communication plan.

Reporting Relationship:
Reports directly to the LAMMICO Director of Risk Management/MI VP of Operations

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Interacts courteously and professionally with all LAMMICO and MI employees, policyholders and outside vendors; supports LAMMICO’s and MI’s mission and vision in daily operations
  • Contributes to the development of MI strategic and operational planning and meets assigned target dates and budget goals; helps ensure that department quality, service and productivity standards are met
  • Identifies and assesses product opportunities from various sources including customers, competitors, industry trends, MI and LAMMICO stakeholders, business team, development team, etc.
  • Works with MI VP of Operations to develop vision and strategy for products; paints a clear compelling picture of where the products are intended to go over the next few years
  • Develop and implement an integrated marketing communication plan to enhance and focus MI sales efforts
  • In collaboration with the Lead Business & Application Analyst, identifies product requirements and enhancements
  • Assesses and prioritizes activities based on customer and business impact; charts a product road map detailing product releases, features in each release and customers targeted by release
  • Responsible for MI website and learning management system for MI clients; champions the products and explains the vision and benefits of the products to ensure internal and external customers understand and support the products
  • Responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring MI’s social media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts and increase sales
  • Conducts analysis for improvements/enhancements and determines their impact on current and future end users and clients; represents the target customers in decisions made during development, testing and launch of new LMS features and website functions
  • Conducts and documents user acceptance testing and quality assurance for new features, enhancements and bug fixes to ensure all requirements are met and successfully implemented; recommends solutions for resolving complex issues
  • Advises sales and marketing team regarding website and learning management system  capabilities and provides other technical assistance as needed
  • Supports and works with clients to maximize their benefits from usage of products; leads implementation process to ensure product is delivered, meets client requirement: provides necessary training
  • Responsible for MI Salesforce data analysis, reporting and assists with the integration between Salesforce and other MI and third party databases
  • Provides market/client/data analysis and reporting to enhance and engage current clients to retain business and acquire new business
  • In collaboration with IT department, supports MI Helpdesk and resolves complex client issues

Secondary Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Attends MI related trade shows and conventions, as assigned
  • Other responsibilities and special projects, as assigned

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferable in Business or IT related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies or plans
  • 3-5 years of experience in data and information analysis
  • Passion for creating great products that meet customer needs
  • Experience in development and execution of product strategies and road maps from concept to launch
  • Prior experience in social media marketing
  • Ability to learn new software and evaluate software solutions for potential partnering opportunities or new product features
  • Proven track record of persuasively communicating ideas and innovative solutions to project stakeholders, team members, management, and current and potential clients
  • Strong teamwork, customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact and work effectively with other departments, personnel and clients at all levels both internally and externally
  • Ability to manage time, set priorities and work independently
  • Ability to organize, analyze and interpret information
  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential or sensitive company information
  • Commitment to continuing industry and individual functional education
  • Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

Education, Experience and Skills Desired:

  • 2-4 years of product management experience
  • Master’s degree in Business, IT or healthcare related field
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce
