Marketing Strategist/Analyst

Position Summary:
Leads the development and execution of Medical Interactive’s (MI) marketing strategy.  Researches and analyzes market data and trends to maintain competitiveness of MI’s products and services.  Develops marketing strategies to retain current clients and secure new clients, and analyzes effectiveness of strategies and marketing activities. Collaborates with RM and IT programming team to enhance MI products. Responsible for communication and branding of MI, including publications and marketing materials.  Responsible for overall quality of MI’s website.

Reporting Relationship:
Reports directly to the Vice President of Operations

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Works in a cooperative manner with management, coworkers, customers, and vendors; supports LAMMICO’s mission and vision in daily operations
  • Contributes to the development of MI’s strategic and operational planning and meets assigned target dates; helps ensure that MI quality, service, and productivity standards are met
  • Promotes and encourages innovation in processes, procedures, products, and services in the organizations
  • Leads the development and execution of MI’s marketing and product enhancement strategy
  • Responsible for analyzing market data and trends and developing marketing strategies to retain current clients and secure new clients
  • Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions
  • Analyzes MI marketing activities to determine effectiveness of and makes recommendations to enhance marketing efforts as needed
  • Assists VP and Business Development Manager of MI in establishing MI’s annual growth and retention goals by providing analysis and  recommendations 
  • Assists in prioritizing major marketing initiatives by analyzing the costs, benefits, and expected impact on MI growth and retention objectives
  • Utilizes social media to launch marketing strategies and measure their effectiveness in meeting marketing and sales goals
  • Responsible for overall quality of MI’s website, including editing of content, quality of graphic design and navigation flow; ensures website content and associated links and portals remain current and functional
  • Collaborates with VP and Business Development Manager in development of publications, ads, brochures and other marketing materials and ensures consistent branding; works with external advertising and design consultants as needed
  • In collaboration with the Lead Business & Application Analyst, identifies product requirements and enhancements; conducts and documents user acceptance testing and quality assurance for new features
  • Composes and coordinates all MI external promotional communication
  • Responsible for preparing the marketing/advertising components of MI’s annual budget and monitoring expenditures to ensure compliance with budget

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business, or relevant degree 
  • 3-5 years marketing experience, including development of marketing plans and strategies
  • Prior experience in social media marketing   
  • Experience organizing, analyzing and interpreting information and data to develop and implement business development strategies/plans
  • Ability to effectively present ideas and offer innovative solutions 
  • Strong teamwork, customer focus , and communications skills with the ability to interact with other departments, personnel, and clients at all levels within and outside the company
  • Highly organized and able to manage time, set priorities, and plan ahead to meet deadlines
  • Flexibility and ability to move quickly to respond to new and emerging trends, ideas or priorities; responds positively to change 
  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential or sensitive company information
  • Commitment to continuing industry and individual functional education; seeks opportunities for personal development 

Education, Experience and Skills Desired:

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Business or healthcare related field
  • Experience in insurance, healthcare or healthcare marketing
  • Experience with website design and content development
  • Experience in product development
