Risk Management Education

Risk Management Education

Live Lectures (CME/CNE)

LAMMICO developed this live lecture topic in order to assist you with reducing risk exposure by providing education on a current important medical topic. We present live Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) lectures across Louisiana throughout the year. All of these activities offer Risk Management Premium Discount Credit, or RM Credit, that may be used to reduce the basic limits portion of your LAMMICO insurance premium by 10 percent every year.

Description: Electronic health records (EHRs) are a reality of clinical practice today and have posed new challenges to communicating safe and effective care. When an adverse event occurs, the documentation or lack thereof will be placed under a microscope by the plaintiff’s attorney. How would your documentation fare under such scrutiny? What do you need to do NOW to better reflect the professional, competent care you provide to patients? This presentation will help you to evaluate current documentation practices and identify strategies to enhance clarity of communication and facilitate patient safety.
