Dear LAMMICO Weekly readers:
The holiday season is the ideal time for a mutual insurance company like LAMMICO to reflect on the policyholders who guide our organization. Without you, LAMMICO would not exist. You are the reason for the insurance products and services we deliver to sustain our long-term stable presence in the healthcare community.
This has been a very productive year for LAMMICO – one in which our risk management continuing education was not only optimized for policyholders but recognized nationally by accrediting bodies for quality of content. While our continuing medical education (CME) has been accredited with commendation by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) since 2012, this year, our continuing nursing education (CNE) was accredited with distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Our subsidiary, Medical Interactive Community, also launched a new learning management system this year for LAMMICO insureds to approach risk management from a 3-dimensional framework of education.
LAMMICO launched an online resource dedicated to making the business of medicine more manageable with the advent of Practice Solutions. From broad-ranging risk reduction tools to Quality Payment Program (QPP) Medicare reimbursement resources, Revenue Cycle Management assessments, and access to the NAS CyberNET® portal, LAMMICO has expanded our risk mitigation efforts to bolster our policyholder’s practice managers in 2017.
These risk management resources are “LAMMICO lagniappe” to our aggressive legal defense, personalized claim handling, and advocacy in the courts and legislature on behalf of our insureds. We take pride in the impact of our collective efforts to proactively protect and support medical professionals because, ultimately, it’s your patients’ safety and wellbeing that benefit. We are grateful to our mutual partners, and look forward to another strong, safe new year.
Wishing you and your families a very happy and healthy holiday season!
