Ark. Governor Signs Two Executive Orders of Importance to Healthcare Providers

Executive Order 20-18 grants limited immunity from liability for medical emergency responders (including physicians and other specified healthcare providers) during the crisis for any injury or death alleged to have been sustained directly as a result of an act or omission by such medical professional in the course of providing medical services in support of the State of Arkansas's response to the COVID-19 outbreak or the implementation of measures to control the causes of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Executive Order 20-19 allows first responders and front-line healthcare workers (including physicians and other specified healthcare providers) to qualify for workers compensation if their work responsibilities caused them to contract COVID-19.
